Game Over

Beat the game, pass the test! 

It’s that simple.

Meet Tristan.  Part-time student, full-time gamer.  Or, at least that’s what he’d like.

Unfortunately for Tristan, he’s still stuck having to deal with school work, tests, and deadlines when all he wants to do is play video games.  And who wouldn’t?!

One day, Tristan wishes that he could play video games rather than taking tests, using his game scores as his test scores. 

HIs wish just came true!

Now, whenever Tristan takes a test in school, he zonks out in the middle of class.  Even though everyone else sees him fast asleep, including his childhood friend Kyoko, Tristan has actually been transported to a video game world.  If he beats the game, he passes the test!

Although it may be fun platforming and battling his way through school, there have been a few unexpected consequences of his wish.

Characters

Tristan

Part-time student, full-time gamer, Tristan is all about playing the latest and greatest video games. Like most gamers, he wishes that he could just live in one rather than the boring real world that requires him to study and do things that he doesn’t want to do. One day, his wish comes true.

Mr. Adventure

Tristan’s newfound friend in the Game World, Mr. Adventure loves the thrill of fighting and is constantly in search of dragons to slay! In fact, Mr. Adventure often mistakes things for dragons… like chickens. As a result, sometimes his love of adventure and whimsy get him into trouble.

CoCo

One of Tristan’s companions in the Game World, CoCo is a drop dead bombshell full of energy! She, like Mr. Adventure and Tristan, enjoys games, but her favorite is Critter Companions: a game where she can summon animals to fight on her behalf. Bubbly and cheerful, CoCo is always there to cheer Tristan and Mr. Adventure on!

Console

Tristan’s guide and first contact in the Game World. Though Console is never seen on page, Console helps Tristan solve puzzles, provides him lore, and guides him through one perilous adventure after another.

Kyoko

It’s all work and no play for Kyoko, Tristan’s childhood best friend. She’s beautiful, athletic, and smart. And completely head over heels for Tristan. Unfortunately for her, Tristan seems completely oblivious. Despite this, she’s determined to keep him from straying too far from his studies so that he can at least graduate at the end of the year - which is just a few months away.

Sage

This charming, kindhearted, and athletic transfer student from Brazil is proud of his grades, soccer skills, and, above all, his hair. Though he only makes a few appearances, Sage finds himself in several awkward scenarios created by Tristan’s aloofness to Kyoko’s obvious feelings.

Toki-One

The over-the-top announcer for the Critter Companion tournament in the Game World, Toki brings energy and spirit to his role.
